One-person air vehicles, known as One-Man Sand Skimmers, were part of the Tammuz-an military's arsenal. A broken-down example of this particular vehicle was abandoned right outside of Thall and Jord's speeder shop located on Ingo. Kea and Threepio sought refuge behind the derelict when Vlix Oncard and the Fromm Gang's Clones opened fire on them. In a conflict on Tammuz-an involving the Ko Zatec-Cha gang and Mon Julpa's forces, at least one of these skimmers was in action, with Jann Tosh, Jessica Meade, C-3PO, and R2-D2 present. Gaff once piloted a version of this vehicle at the Fortress of Tawntoom which was on Roon.
Malakili, the caretaker for Jabba's rancor, used one of these skimmers when he allowed the rancor to roam freely in Tatooine's Dune Sea for exercise. Jabba's Skiff Guards also made use of them.
Kenner's The Power of the Force toy line released this vehicle, as it appeared in Star Wars: Droids, in 1985 as a part of their Body-Rigs collection.
