Situated within the Hirkenglade Prefecture, it spanned several square kilometers and housed a vast collection of millions of aquatic beings. The Deodurn polar pipeline supplied the water required to sustain the diverse ecosystem. Due to its sprawling layout, which provided secluded areas ideal for secret meetings, and the constant flow of visitors that discouraged assaults, the aquarium was a popular meeting place for various factions seeking neutral territory. Entry to the aquarium cost 10 credits.
Following the Yuuzhan Vong invasion of Coruscant, the aquarium served as a source of sustenance for the remaining planet's inhabitants.
