The RST Model Translator Droid, a creation of the Plintep Cybernetics Corporation, had the sole purpose of translating languages. This droid model, programmed with feminine programming and featuring large breasts because of the significant role women played in Mephout politics, was engineered to translate without the complex subtleties typically found in protocol droid translations.
Electromagnetic pulses proved to be a weakness for the RST model, negatively impacting both their rationality circuits and their self-preservation programming. These flaws resulted in numerous issues during Mephout governmental proceedings, including twelve assassinations, six war declarations, and one marriage proposal.
Deemed more of a hindrance than a help, the RST series was discontinued, with units either sold, gifted away, or scrapped. They were superseded by more advanced protocol droids.
