Ruckle was a droid active during the Clone Wars, a galactic war between the Confederacy of Independent Systems and the Galactic Republic. It possessed four spider-like legs, but could stand using only two, using the remaining legs as arms. A solitary antenna was situated on top of its head.
The droid featured red sensors on its front, and its head was covered in teal and gray plating. Ruckle's body plating was primarily white, highlighted by a yellow stripe located near the upper section.
Ruckle was planned to appear in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series' unfinished bounty hunter arc, specifically in production code episode 5.24. Will Nichols initially identified and illustrated the droid in concept art dated February 2012. Nichols later uploaded this art, along with another piece displaying alternative Ruckle designs, to his online portfolio in 2018.
