As a Concept Design Supervisor at Lucasfilm, Ryan Church is responsible for many design concepts. His vehicle designs, which heavily influenced the vehicles seen in the final two episodes of the prequel trilogy, are featured on StarWars.com's Art of Revenge section.

In 1998, Ryan Church began his career with Industrial Light & Magic in the digital feature division. Following the release of The Phantom Menace, he transitioned to JAK Films. There, he held the position of Concept Design Supervisor for both Episode II and Episode III, and also served as a Senior Art Director during their post-production phases.
Church went back to ILM in 2013 to contribute to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, and The Mandalorian.

Church's work significantly shaped the visual appearance of numerous worlds featured in Episodes II and III. While his expertise lies in designing advanced vehicles and spacecraft, his creative input spanned across various design aspects, encompassing planets and characters alike. Some of his designs include:

- ARC-170
- Alderaan (as it appears in Episode III)
- Tantive IV (Episode III version)
- Mygeeto
- Felucia
- Kashyyyk (as it appears in Episode III)
- Polis Massa
- Crab droid
- Buzz droid
- Octuptarra combat tri-droid
- Octuptarra magna tri-droid
