S1

S1 was a zone, one of twelve identical regions, situated on the southern half of the Death Star. This battle station of enormous scale was constructed by the Galactic Empire. Similar to the other twenty-three zones found on the space station, this particular zone, S1, spanned 31.4 kilometers along the Death Star's outer edge. It was overseen from a bridge and comprised several sectors, each allocated to specific functions. The destruction of the Death Star, inclusive of zone S1, occurred in 0 BBY. Zones S2 and S12 were adjacent to Zone S1.
