A sabersmith was a professional whose job was the construction of lightsabers. Lah Zhima from Hy Izlan gained recognition as a sabersmith, particularly after lightsabers became a scarce commodity throughout the galaxy. Depending on the wielder's attunement to the Force, he possessed the skill to modify kyber crystals inside lightsabers, resulting in different blade lengths and colors.
