Salen Toth, a Jedi who lived during the era of the New Sith Wars, journeyed to Harpori in the Balowa system. His mission: to look into the puzzling vanishing of Jedi Knight Crian Maru and her Padawan, Dree Vandap. Guided by the Force, Salen felt compelled to go to a lake situated within Harpori's forests.
At that location, Salen discovered the corpse of Crian's apprentice, killed by a blow from a lightsaber. Salen found no trace of Dree's master along the lake's edge, but he did perceive a pervasive darkness in the vicinity. Concluding that he could not uncover any further details about what had transpired, Salen collected Dree's dead body, brought it back to his ship, and considered his investigation to be over.
