Salld Nrump

A Sullustan male, Salld Nrump, existed near the close of the Galactic Republic's years.

Biography

In the final years of the Galactic Republic, there lived a male Sullustan named Salld Nrump. Around 31 BBY, Nrump took a position at a communications hub situated in the city of Varna Biqua on the planet Cularin. There, he detected what he initially thought was a peculiar anomaly within the center's communication transfer system. Upon investigation, he found that significant volumes of encrypted data were being transmitted from Cularin to a Metatheran Cartel satellite, via three distinct streams of coded signals. Unbeknownst to Nrump, these transmissions originated from three concealed data transmitters that the Cartel had strategically placed on Cularin to gather intelligence. The Red Fury Brotherhood pirate organization had discovered these transmitters and were exploiting the information to eliminate rival groups. Nrump's attempts to decipher the transmissions proved unsuccessful, leading him to consider hiring Krol-Pek, a Cerean encryption specialist residing on Cularin, to examine them. He departed his workplace to locate a secure communications channel to arrange for Krol-Pek's visit to Genarius.

News of Nrump's discovery reached the Syndicate, a criminal enterprise contracted by the Red Fury Brotherhood to decode the data from the transmitters. Consequently, the Syndicate dispatched a squad of mercenaries to the communications center where Nrump was employed. The mercenaries downloaded all of Nrump's data regarding the encrypted transmissions, then obliterated the center, killing everyone present. Subsequently, they initiated a search for any missing employees, and upon realizing Nrump was not among the deceased, they began actively seeking him out. Nrump returned from contacting Krol-Pek to discover his former place of work in ruins, and he understood that the transmissions he had found were related to something significant. He went into hiding and contacted Krol-Pek, requesting that the Cerean arrange for Nrump to be transported to Cularin, so that they could decode the transmissions in a safer place. However, the mercenaries intercepted the transmission and tracked Nrump down. They wounded him and he fled to the Raging Rancor Cantina, where he handed a datapad to the Heroes of Cularin, a group of freelance agents that were visiting the cantina. The mercenaries then arrived at the cantina and attempted to kill Nrump.
