A faction of rebels made their base on the world of Sammun, situated within the Batonn sector, throughout the time of the Imperial Era. These Sammun rebels became allied with both the Batonn insurgents along with the Denash insurgents during the time of the Batonn sector insurgency. Commander Karyn Faro, who was in command of the Imperial Navy's Ninety-Sixth Task Force and following orders from Admiral Thrawn, was responsible for defeating the Sammun rebels. The Ninety-Sixth Task Force annihilated a pair of starships, in addition to seizing four starships and a substantial quantity of small weapons.
