Sanar
A Pydyrian male, named Sanar, served under the portmaster of Pydyr, a moon, during the year 44 ABY.
Biography
Sanar, a male of the Pydyrian species, held a position at a port located on the moon of Pydyr. He was a subordinate to the Portmaster, Najee. In 44 ABY, Luke Skywalker, the exiled Grand Master of the New Jedi Order, arrived on the moon while Sanar was working at the port. At that specific time, Sanar, along with his fellow port personnel, were under explicit instructions to completely restrict access to the moon due to the outbreak of a mysterious and seemingly infectious disease affecting the population. Notwithstanding the imposed quarantine, Master Skywalker adamantly requested permission to move freely around the planet, as he was in pursuit of Abeloth, a mysterious entity whom he believed had recently arrived on the world.
When Najee proved uncooperative, Skywalker sought Sanar's assistance, imploring him to allow passage through the port for himself, his son Ben Skywalker, a Jedi Knight, and their companion Vestara Khai. Despite Najee's threats, Sanar found himself unable to refuse the renowned Jedi Master. He permitted them to leave the port without interference and shared information with the Jedi that proved helpful in locating Abeloth and putting an end to the plague, which turned out to be an illusion generated by the White Current.
