Sapith

A Sapith crystal. Sapith designates a crystal variant that saw infrequent employment in the building of lightsabers. These crystals originated as secretions from the volice worm, a now-vanished species native to the Ssi-ruuvi planet Lwhekk, occurring roughly once per eleven standard years. Following the volice worm's disappearance, the sole means of acquiring sapith involved extracting it from the remains of fossilized volices. These crystals possessed a form akin to serpent scales, exhibiting an intricate internal makeup.

When installed within a lightsaber's crystal housing, sapith produced a powerful blade that was more manageable than most.
