Savuud Thimram

Savuud Thimram served as a trusted Dark Side Adept for Emperor Palpatine. This Human male from Chandrila received personal training from the Emperor himself on the Deep Core world of Byss, solidifying his position as one of Palpatine's most devoted followers. He demonstrated exceptional aptitude in harnessing the dark side of the Force, skillfully employing a range of Force powers to gain advantages. Thimram's presence on Byss coincided with the capture of Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker, who was subsequently brought before the Emperor in 10 ABY.

Biography

Born a Human male to a wealthy family on Chandrila, Savuud Thimram's destiny took a dramatic turn when Emperor Palpatine of the Galactic Empire detected his inherent Force-sensitivity. Consequently, he was taken from his homeworld to the Deep Core planet of Byss. Under the Emperor's tutelage, Thimram's mind was molded, transforming him into a steadfast and utterly loyal servant of Palpatine's Dark Empire. Despite holding less authority than members of the Imperial Inquisitorius, Thimram, as a Dark Side Adept, wielded considerable influence. While stationed on Byss, Thimram was armed with a Force pike and a dark side talisman. At some point, he acquired an apprentice—a young woman from Alderaan who had been drawn to Byss by promises of opulence and luxury.

In 10 ABY, Thimram found himself stationed at the Emperor's Citadel on Byss, alongside another Dark Side Adept, Gwellib Ap-Llewff. Luke Skywalker, a Jedi Knight affiliated with the Alliance to Restore the Republic, had been captured by the Empire and was scheduled to appear before Emperor Palpatine, who at that time was inhabiting a clone body. A Universal Energy Cage transported the captive to the Citadel, where Thimram, Ap-Llewff, and several other Dark Side Adepts greeted him. Upon his release from the cage, Skywalker launched an assault on several of the Adepts using the Force, asserting his intention to enter the Citadel of his own accord. Thimram, amused by this display, instructed Ap-Llewff to refrain from harming Skywalker, but to maintain vigilance during his brief journey to Palpatine's location. Later that year, Palpatine met his definitive killed, and the Galaxy Gun superweapon annihilated Byss.

Personality and traits

Thimram ensured the prompt and efficient execution of the Emperor's directives. Consequently, he ascended to become one of the most formidable and influential figures within the Galactic Empire. He found amusement in Skywalker's demeanor while on Byss, and held a highly dismissive view of the Jedi's capacity to act according to his own volition.

Powers and abilities

Thimram skillfully harnessed the power of the dark side of the Force to achieve his objectives. He possessed the ability to execute mind tricks, Drain Energy, Telekinesis, Force Concealment, and even see into the future. Furthermore, Thimram could unleash Force lightning and possessed telepathic abilities.

Behind the scenes

Savuud Thimram's character made his debut in issue 2 of the Star Wars: Dark Empire comic series, penned by Tom Veitch. His name was later revealed in the Dark Empire Sourcebook, authored by Michael Allen Horne.
