Scrub lizards, substantial reptiles with an omnivorous diet, were the primary non-intelligent species inhabiting the world of Korbin. These creatures could attain lengths of up to three meters, with a shoulder height of one meter. Their scales exhibited a spectrum of hues, varying from a copper shade to a golden brown. Due to their ability to move close to the ground, some individuals mistakenly identified scrub lizards as enormous snakes. Typically, scrub lizards congregated in packs ranging from two to six members, preying on Humans traveling along the roads connecting Korbin's urban centers. If they managed to injure their target, the scrub lizards would enter a state of heightened aggression, driven by the scent of blood. Although primarily meat-eaters, these lizards displayed an attraction to the indigenous kyrf fruit and alcoholic beverages, possessing immunity to the intoxicating effects of the latter.
The inhabitants of Korbin, predominantly Human, engaged in the hunting of these lizards for sustenance, recreational purposes, and to acquire their scales and teeth, which were utilized in the creation of vibrant decorations. Certain Korbinites managed to domesticate a small number of scrub lizards, employing them as mounts, beasts of burden, and guard animals, although such semi-domesticated scrub lizards were uncommon. Certain Korbinite criminal groups would leave individuals tied up in Korbin's wilderness for scrub lizards to prey upon and devour while still alive.
