SecOps Four served as a member of the Bothan Spynet and was the personal protector of Bothan Spymaster Koth Melan. He collaborated with SecOps Five and SecOps Seven, who were also bodyguards.
During 3 ABY, SecOps Four found himself at a secure location on Kothlis alongside Koth Melan and Jedi Luke Skywalker. Their purpose was to oversee the decryption of the Death Star II plans, which were stored on a stolen supercomputer. A squad of Barabel bounty hunters launched an assault on the safehouse, resulting in Melan's death and Skywalker's capture.
During the assault, SecOps Four sustained a blaster wound to his leg. Despite his injury, he managed to flee with the crucial plans, using a piece of plastic pipe as a makeshift walking stick. As he traversed Kothlis' industrial area on foot, aiming to reach the spynet's clandestine vessel in a hidden hangar, SecOps Four was ambushed by rival members of the Bothan Spynet. These Bothans, under the command of Vord'lya and devoted to Borsk Fey'lya, incapacitated SecOps Four and absconded with the case holding the Death Star II blueprints. They then handed over the plans to the Alliance to Restore the Republic, enabling Borsk Fey'lya's group to claim responsibility for their acquisition.
