A group of Sela vessels collects Cargo containers alongside TIE Defender prototypes. During the Galactic Civil War, Imperial Grand Admiral Zaarin incorporated three Cargo Ferries, all named Sela, into the "Arms Race". The Sela Cargo Ferries were responsible for transporting TIE Defender prototypes to meet the Escort Carrier Hininbirg, which was en route to Coruscant for assessment by Emperor Palpatine. Early in their mission, the Sela ferries were ambushed by Rebel starfighters close to the XQ6 Platform Research facility, but Imperial TIE Avengers successfully defended against the assault.
