Senate Action Subcommittee for Corellian Trade Spine Defense

The Senate Action Subcommittee for Corellian Trade Spine Defense, an action subcommittee within the Galactic Senate, was established during the Clone Wars. Its purpose was to organize defensive measures against Confederate advances along the Corellian Trade Spine. The Rodian Senator Onaconda Farr presided over this subcommittee.

Farr, in 20 BBY, abused his authority to reroute three newly built Venator-class Star Destroyers. These ships were originally stationed at Duro, but Farr used fabricated requisition orders, claiming they were undergoing secret "shakedown refurbishment," to move them to Rodia. Furthermore, he bribed Iseno Senator Ronet Coorr with millions of credits and promises of reconstruction contracts on Ando, influencing him to divert warships from Iseno to Rodia. Consequently, Duro fell to the Confederacy that year, and a subsequent SBI report exposed Farr's role in the event, leading to his resignation from the Senate.

Subsequently, detractors of Republic strategies cited this corruption as a reason to diminish or abolish all action subcommittees.
