A sensor array was a kind of sensor mechanism typically installed on starships. This array was made up of three parts: the sensors themselves, which gathered information; a computer that processed this information; and a screen that showed the results to the user. Bigger ships might feature more advanced arrays with increased processing capabilities, which helped them spot objects more easily, but their increased size also made them more noticeable.
Resistance transport pods, the RZ-2 A-wing interceptor, and the Upsilon-class command shuttle were examples of starships that had these installed.
