Surveillance tagger
A sensor tag, otherwise referred to as a surveillance tagger, was a compact tracking apparatus composed of two separate components: the tracker and the homing beacon. The beacon was attached to a subject, often secured via magnets, darts, or pins to their garments.
Every tagger included a specialized tracker programmed to pick up the signal transmitted by a particular beacon. The beacon transmitted data regarding the target's position, velocity, and path to the tracker. Consequently, the tagger, along with the individual it was connected to, could be monitored from a secure location.
Intelligence agents, bounty hunters, skip tracers, private investigators, and security officers mainly employed surveillance taggers as instruments of espionage.
Numerous versions were commercially accessible, such as Rhinsome Tracking Corporation's SureSnoop, MechBlaze Tracking Corp.'s Observer Mk. I, and Astroserver Industries' Rover and Trailmaster.
