The Flarestar-class attack shuttle used by Shahan Alama was notable for its silver paint job, along with the inclusion of the red symbols associated with Hondo Ohnaka's pirate gang displayed on its flanks.
Around 21 BBY, during the Clone Wars era, Shahan Alama, accompanied by Duros bounty hunter Cad Bane and Bane's crew, embarked on a mission to the galactic capital of Coruscant. Their objective was to liberate Ziro Desilijic Tiure from his prison. Following the successful completion of the mission and their subsequent escape, Bane instructed his team to scatter and conceal themselves. Alama piloted his Flarestar-class attack shuttle to the planet of Florrum, situated in the Outer Rim Territories. Upon arrival, he encountered a small Confederate contingent commanded by a Neimoidian, followed by a small Republic force led by Jedi Knight Aayla Secura.
It is likely that Alama was not the actual owner of this particular Flarestar-class ship, and instead, was using it with Ohnaka's permission. The presence of Hondo Ohnaka's pirate gang's insignia on the vessel, combined with Alama's reception by Ohnaka, suggests that he was not a permanent member of the pirate group.
