Shattercord

Shattercord represented a type of armament employed by both the starships of the Chiss Ascendancy and the Paccosh; its primary function involved the ability to penetrate and melt through sealed doors and entryways. The effectiveness of shattercord in breaching a starship's hatches was typically optimized when the intended target was rendered immobile or otherwise incapacitated, often through the use of a Crippler net or a plasma sphere. In one instance, certain Paccian commandos utilized shattercord to successfully demolish a hatch on the Kilji picket cruiser known as the Hammer.
