Shrivel Braittrand, originally a Kulless hailing from Gerres Gule, relocated from his native planet in order to find work as a race mechanic. He gained employment with Boles Roor, a glimmik singer and also a two-time champion of the renowned Boonta Eve Classic. Following Roor's defeat in the Boonta race, he retired from Podracing, subsequently gifting his pod to Braittrand, who then transformed it into the Kulless Squall. Braittrand then began a fairly prosperous racing career. Notably, he was among the small number of Podracing pilots who managed to avoid a fatal accident during a race.
