Shudderup was a kind of music enjoyed by the people of the world Naboo. Jar Jar Binks, a Gungan male, was once a young, wandering shudderup musician; people would give him money to stop playing.
Bongiovi, also from Naboo, played the quetarra and sang shudderup music. During the Clone Wars involving the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Bongiovi and other Naboo musicians convinced Beezar Pert, a symponik musician, to come out of retirement. They put on a special concert in the Palace Plaza of Theed, the capital city of Naboo, to show respect for the war orphans on both sides.
Daniel Wallace came up with shudderup for the reference book The New Essential Guide to Characters, which came out in 2002.
