Sil Vaturha

Sil Vaturha was a female Twi'lek who was orphaned and hailed from the planet of Corellia. During the time of the Galactic Civil War, she was enslaved and forced to work as a mechanic in the underground swoop garage known as Kuda's Compound, located on Stend VI. Her enslaver was Kaylo NaKuda, a crime lord of the Herglic species.

Biography

As a young child, Sil Vaturha, a female Twi'lek, was orphaned. She lived on the streets of Corellia, a planet, before being sold into slavery. Kaylo NaKuda, a Herglic crime lord, purchased Vaturha and compelled her to labor in his subterranean swoop garage, known as [Kuda's Compound](/article/kuda%27s_compound], which was situated on the world Stend VI. Vaturha toiled for several years and eventually rose to become his premier mechanic for a year, sometime following the Battle of Yavin during the Galactic Civil War.

Personality and traits

Because of the cruelty she had experienced from organic beings, Vaturha was reserved, thoughtful, and favored the companionship of droids and machines.

Skills and abilities

Vaturha possessed the ability to repair virtually any type of vehicle, from swoops to starfighters. Her skills also extended to computer repair, and she had developed urban survival skills during her time living on the streets.

Equipment

Due to the nature of her work, Vaturha frequently carried a variety of tools, including a fusioncutter, a beamdrill, a laser-welder, a diagnostic scanner, hydrospanners, and various repair kits. NaKuda controlled her with a Vec-Tech AA-2 Keeper. This device was implanted under her skin, and any attempt to escape would trigger the release of a deadly neurotoxin that would result in immediate death. She also wore an ornamental headdress.

Behind the scenes

Paul Danner and Bill Smith created Sil Vaturha for Wretched Hives of Scum & Villainy, a supplement for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game released by West End Games in 1997. Greg Smith provided the illustrations.
