The Singing Mountain Clan Stronghold, alternatively referred to as the Singing Mountain Clan Fortress, represented a spacious bastion situated close to the apex of the Singing Mountain located on Dathomir, a planet within the Outer Rim Territories.
The fortress featured sizable gates that opened into a wide courtyard within its walls. The structures were limited to a maximum height of three stories. Directly across the plaza stood a circular building, seemingly functioning as a formal reception area. This roundhouse possessed a conical, two-tiered roof supported by imposing columns crafted from indigenous tree trunks and adorned with metal coverings. Each column displayed a metal medallion bearing the distinctive emblem of a neighboring tribe or clan. A balcony encircled the roundhouse on its second level. At the summit of the stairways, the paths diverged. One corridor led to a sizable chamber characterized by reddish stone walls and a central fireplace, its fire burning intensely yet consuming no fuel. This chamber contained a broad, cushioned chair carved from the same local stone used for the walls and floor.

Reportedly, the fortress bore the marks of heavy bombardment, with cracks and damage evident in the rock surrounding the blast shielding. Fragments of red sandstone were scattered across the exterior walkways. The fortress's interior was a labyrinth of interconnected halls and staircases. The walls were adorned with rich tapestries and illuminated by wall-mounted lights. A room was carved into a corner of the fortress, providing windows on two sides. This expansive, nearly triangular room featured six openings overlooking the prairie. Blaster rifles were stacked near each window, protective vests lay piled on the floor, and a lone blaster cannon extended towards the eastern mountains. A significant dent indicated prior damage to the cannon's housing, resulting in a pool of green coolant on the floor. The cannon was inoperable. At the center of the room, a cooking pit contained glowing embers. A sizable animal was roasting over the coals, basted with a strong-smelling sauce by two individuals turning the spit. The fortress included a stone table for preparing corpses, leading to a set of gray steps and a woven mat depicting a clan sister in yellow and white, holding a war spear. Beyond this lay the warriors' hall, a room strictly off-limits to commoners, those lacking spellcasting abilities, or mere apprentices, regardless of their mother's status as a war leader or their own talents. One of the drafty stairways ascended to a large sleeping chamber with an opening leading to a stone parapet overlooking the valley. The room contained numerous straw beds spread across the floor, covered with thick blankets. The fortress incorporated a network of stone passages spanning six levels. A vast, cave-like room served as a hangar for starships. This room lacked large openings, and several massive stones on the far side were cracked. Teneniel's room was a small space containing only a mattress and a trunk. A large silver mirror hung on one wall, with a sink positioned beneath it. The War Room featured a large map on the floor, fashioned from clay and painted.
Besides the primary stronghold near the summit, the clan also maintained residences in smaller settlements situated closer to the mountain's base.
During the era of the Galactic Civil War, sometime after the Battle of Yavin in 0 BBY, the Singing Mountain Clan prospered within this stronghold.

The Singing Mountain Clan Stronghold was featured as a location in the 2003 MMORPG Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, before the game's termination on December 15, 2011.
