The Singularity, a vessel of the Imperial I-class Star Destroyer variety, functioned under the authority of Blackhole, also known as Cronal, who held the positions of both Imperial Intelligence Director and Emperor's Hand. This occurred during the era of the Galactic Civil War.
Constructed by Kuat Drive Yards, the Singularity was an Imperial I-class Star Destroyer. Due to its coating of a unique stygian-triprismatic polymer, the Singularity proved exceptionally difficult to detect via sensors and was almost invisible to the unaided eye in the vastness of space. Furthermore, the ship was equipped with a gravity well generator, enabling it to halt vessels traveling through hyperspace.
Following his departure from Coruscant driven by an overwhelming sense of potential danger, the ship became the primary operational hub for Imperial Intelligence Director Cronal. To align with Cronal's peculiar tastes, the Singularity, along with its accompanying TIE fighter wing, the 123rd Nightstalker Group, and Cronal's personal special stormtrooper division, were all rendered in an obsidian color.
The initial mention of the Singularity appeared in an article penned by Abel G. Peña featured in Star Wars Gamer 5 entitled The Emperor's Pawns.
