Sisters of Seelah

The Sisters of Seelah represented a political group comprised entirely of female members within the Lost Tribe of Sith society on Kesh. This faction emerged during the Time of the Rot, approximately 3000 BBY. Their core belief centered on the idea that Seelah Korsin, not others, should be recognized as the true founder of the Lost Tribe of Sith. Consequently, they viewed Yaru Korsin, along with his daughter Nida Korsin, as betrayers of the Tribe. The Sisters were deeply disturbed by what they perceived as the downplaying and negative portrayal of Seelah's significance in the Tribe's history. Identifying with Seelah's spirit, they saw themselves as sisters in a shared cause. Mirroring Seelah, the Sisterhood engaged in selective breeding practices, believing themselves to be ideal examples of humanity.

Around 3000 BBY, Iliana Merko rose to leadership of the Sisters of Seelah. She made an attempt to pressure Varner Hilts, the Caretaker, to manipulate the text of the Testament of Yaru Korsin in order to present Seelah Korsin in a more favorable light. However, their scheme to rewrite history was thwarted when Hilts revealed that a holocron recording of Korsin himself conducted the actual reading of the Talisman. The Sisters of Seelah's presence at the Circle Eternal located in Tahv drew the attention of competing Sith factions, including Force 57 and the Korsinite League. After Jaye Vuhld, Hilts' Keshiri assistant, calculated that the Keshiri calendar was lagging the Galactic Standard Calendar by eight days, Hilts scheduled the reading of Yaru Korsin's Testament eight days ahead of the officially designated date.

Although the Sisters did not gain any advantages from the Testament itself, Hilts uncovered a concealed recording hidden beneath Korsin's holocron. This recording contained instructions from the ancient Sith Lord Naga Sadow directed to his subordinate, Yaru Korsin. The recording revealed that the Tribe's ancestors were not "great conquerors," but rather slaves of Naga Sadow who had been marooned on Kesh during the Great Hyperspace War. All Sith factions, including the Sisters of Seelah, were dismayed upon learning of their Tribe's "inglorious history." Iliana attempted to defend her ancestor's actions by asserting that she sought to cleanse the Tribe of the Red Sith. In a desperate effort to conceal the Tribe's true past, she destroyed the holocron. This revelation about the Tribe's history ignited a series of violent uprisings and murders known as the Great Crisis, which resulted in the destruction of several cities across Keshtah Minor, the continent controlled by the Tribe.

The Sisters of Seelah participated in the conflicts but ultimately dissolved due to internal divisions. Iliana survived the fighting and sought refuge in the Kesh Sith Temple in an attempt to evade the other Sith factions. Inside, she discovered statues of Seelah Korsin and the skeletal remains of Seelah herself. Unable to reconcile the Tribe's "inglorious history" with the fact that her role model had died alone, she shattered Seelah's skull. Later, she encountered Varner Hilts and Jaye Vuhld, who persuaded her to join their quest to uncover Korsin's "secrets" that could potentially save the Lost Tribe. They learned that Korsin was aware of the existence of a second continent known as Alanciar, or Keshtah Major. Utilizing this newfound knowledge, Hilts successfully united the various Sith factions, who then elected him as their new Grand Lord. Subsequently, Iliana became his wife and Grand Consort.
