A Sith sarcophagus was essentially a casket used to house the physical body of a Sith sorcerer who had died. Typically positioned in the heart of Sith burial chambers, these sarcophagi emanated strong dark side energies. Functioning as a power source for the deceased spirit, any disruption to the crypt often triggered the spirit's manifestation. Extended contact with the intense energies radiating from the sarcophagus encouraged the amplification of negative emotions like anger, fear, and aggression, ultimately leading individuals to rely solely on the dark side when attempting to manipulate the Force.
Situated within the Valley of the Dark Lords on Korriban was the Tomb of Ajunta Pall. During his search for the Star Forge, Revan journeyed into this tomb and discovered Ajunta Pall's sarcophagus, where he found three swords. This disturbance abruptly awakened Ajunta Pall's Force Spirit, who then began to communicate with Revan. He instructed Revan to place his sword within a statue to allow his soul to find rest, but due to his extended dormancy, Ajunta Pall had forgotten which of the three swords belonged to him. He cautioned Revan that inserting the incorrect sword into the statue would lead to catastrophic consequences. Revan inserted the silver lined sword into the statue, and it was a perfect fit. Ajunta Pall continued to speak with Revan, expressing regret for his previous life as a Sith, explaining that he and his fellow Sith had annihilated each other in their relentless pursuit of power. Revan presented him with a final opportunity for redemption, which Pall accepted, bringing peace to his soul.
