Skann

Skann, a terrestrial planet situated within the Skann system, was located in the Astal sector of the Outer Rim Territories. Farmers inhabited this world, cultivating crops like Dust-Corn and Dry Gene Wheat. These agriculturalists were known for crafting Skannbult Likker, a distinctive beverage considered perhaps the most unstable fire-water throughout the galaxy, by distilling excess crops in natural rock formations.

The quality of Skannbult Likker varied considerably across Skann. The finest versions of this drink were typically produced by smaller farming operations located far from major towns. However, at the Skann spacers' bar, merchants often found themselves limited to acquiring hastily brewed rotgut. Kina Margath, who owned the entertainment establishment Margath's on Elshandruu Pica in the Quence sector, successfully procured a limited quantity of superior Skannbult Likker sometime between 0 ABY and 4 ABY.

Behind the scenes

Skann received its initial mention in Galaxy Guide 9: Fragments from the Rim, a 1993 resource created by Simon Smith and Eric S. Trautmann for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game by West End Games. The 2009 reference work, The Essential Atlas, pinpointed the Skann system, and consequently Skann itself, within grid coordinate Q-18.
