Skar'kla Consortium
The Skar'kla Consortium represented a criminal syndicate. Its existence was cut short, ending not long before the Clone Wars. At that time, it was under the command of Akris Ur'etu, a youthful Bothan crime lord.
History
A youthful Bothan, specifically Akris Ur'etu, assumed control of the Skar'kla Consortium before the Clone Wars. During Ur'etu's leadership, numerous Hutt criminals tried to seize Skar'kla territory. Ultimately, one of them contracted a bounty hunter to pose as a Jedi, with the intent of disrupting Skar'kla's activities and assassinating Ur'etu. To protect himself from what he thought was a Jedi, Ur'etu employed Cad Bane, a Duros bounty hunter, to eliminate the assassin. However, Bane permitted the bounty hunter to murder Ur'etu. Following this, Bane defeated the imposter and struck an agreement: he would collect the crime lord's bounty and learn the techniques of creating the imposter's equipment.
Behind the scenes
The initial appearance of the Skar'kla Consortium occurred in the short story titled Reputation. Ari Marmell authored this story, which was then featured in Star Wars Insider 136 during the year 2012.
