In the year 228 BBY, a brief conflict took place over the planet [Seswenna]. This battle involved Nihil marauders and the Jedi Masters Avar Kriss and Porter Engle. The location was within the Nihil's Occlusion Zone, specifically in the Seswenna sector. The Jedi's objective was to seize the ship called Cacophony to utilize its Path drive for navigating through the Stormwall and escaping the Zone.
After successfully gaining control of the Cacophony's bridge and defeating its captain, Melis Shryke, forces commanded by General Abediah Viess, Shryke's superior, arrived aboard the Foregone Catastrophe. Viess's goal was to capture the Jedi, and she initiated an attack on the Cacophony. Engle, wanting to ensure Kriss's escape from the Zone, departed the Cacophony in a drill ship and inflicted significant damage to Viess's vessel. As the ship disintegrated, he engaged Viess in a duel until he was precariously holding onto a piece of debris over the void. Viess, believing she had won due to the ship's hopeless state, departed.
Meanwhile, Kriss discovered that Shryke had destroyed the Path drive. She then decided to connect an EX droid memory bank that Engle had recovered to the ship's hyperdrive. Kriss anticipated that the EX droids' unique method of traversing hyperspace would enable the ship to pass through the Stormwall. Her assumption proved correct when the ship successfully navigated the Stormwall to the other side, although this resulted in Engle being lost.
