The fortress of Quenelle, the Skull Queen, was situated on the jungle-moon of Nallastia. During their mission to Fondor in 23 BBY, the Skull Queen received several Jedi at her stronghold.
Hewn from the dark volcanic rock of Mount Octan, the Skull Queen's fortress consisted of ten stories.
During a typical Nallastian night, the rows of fortress battlements and ancient megaliths, along with the satellite-mountain itself, were illuminated by a bluish light due to planet light (reflected light from the planet Fondor, reflecting its system's sun, as it rose over the jungle).
In a field guarded by 50 Nallastian warriors wearing reptilian skins and armor made of animal bones and wielding primitive energy-projectile launchers (though a few possessed modern blaster weapons), three enormous megaliths, each measuring eight meters in height, stood in a triangular configuration. The ground within the stones' formation was covered with human and alien bones. The stone triangle, known as the Trinity Stones, served as the foundation for the energy field (a lunar gravity vortex) that acted as an inescapable deathbed for those who broke Nallastian law: they would only have to wait 90 standard minutes before the stones crushed them, as the megaliths were magnetically drawn together. After the megaliths met, they would then repel back to their original positions.
Jedi Knight Bultar Swan's statement to Padawan Anakin Skywalker, who was 18 years old at the time, at the Skull Queen's fortress, that "Jedi don't have nightmares" foreshadows Anakin's identical line of dialogue to Padmé Amidala while on the east balcony of the Naberrie family's Varykino lodge (both in the Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones novel and screenplay), which seems to be a direct quote from Swan, taken from Skywalker's memory of their discussion about 'Jedi dreams' during their mission to Fondor some months prior.
