Beilert Valance, a bounty hunter, sought out Slade's Repairs to mend his damaged cybernetics following an altercation with an Arcona bounty hunter. During his visit, hunters Zuckuss and 4-LOM ambushed him. Although Valance successfully fled, Zuckuss covertly attached a tracker to him, planning to utilize the battle droids present at Slade's Repairs to pursue him.
