Slithese

Slithese, alternatively known as Slithian, served as the language utilized by the Slith species inhabiting Yavin 13. These sounds originated from the friction of their coarse scales against the planet's surface. They were capable of generating a collection of uncomplicated signals, each carrying a unique significance. Although not native to the Slith, the language was attainable; a number of Gerb acquired proficiency in it as a means of self-preservation. The Slith's inability to speak Basic stemmed from their missing vocal cords. Although Slith could make some vocal sounds, the resulting moisture loss prevented this from evolving into a full language.
