Small Craft Flight, instructed at the Royal Imperial Academy on Coruscant, the galactic capital during the Age of the Empire, was a training program. A flight commander served as the instructor. A practical assignment required students to navigate speeder bikes through a set of Reitgen Hoops located in the adjacent Galactic City. Victory in this race earned Imperial cadets a reward of fifty points. In a noteworthy instance, Ciena Ree and Thane Kyrell, both Imperial cadets, found their speeder bikes entangled; however, they still achieved a joint first-place finish, splitting the reward and each receiving twenty-five points.
