Sniper airspeeder

The Sniper airspeeder represented a type of repulsorcraft utilized by the Galactic Empire in the period immediately following the Battle of Endor.

Its defensive capabilities were minimal, as its design prioritized velocity and offensive strength. Thanks to an ion afterburner positioned directly behind the pilot's seat, the Sniper could achieve velocities reaching six hundred kilometers per hour.

Behind the scenes

The design of the Sniper airspeeder originated from an "Imperial Sniper Fighter" vehicle concept. This concept was intended for a proposed expansion of Kenner's Star Wars toy series called The Epic Continues, but the extension was never produced. This is distinct from the related toy, the Imperial Sniper, which Kenner actually manufactured. This speeder, along with other toy ideas, were integrated into the Legends storyline through "The Battle of Cadinth" story and role-playing game article featured in Star Wars Galaxy Magazine 2.
