Under the leadership of Director Antayen, she participated in the Tatooine excavation of an ancient alien mechanism, which turned out to be a mind prison from the Infinite Empire that contained a Rakata named the Imprisoned One.
Her stance differed from Doctor Lerek, as she dismissed his apprehension towards the artifact. She voiced her satisfaction upon his departure from the team, while acknowledging the soundness of his hypotheses regarding its origins. The validity of Lerek's worries was subsequently confirmed when The Imprisoned One escaped, resulting in the demise or enslavement of nearly all staff members at the research facility. Given that Soprin was actively studying the mind prison at that moment, she was probably among the initial victims to be either killed or enslaved by The Imprisoned One.
