Sorki

The Sorkis comprised the original population of the Core planet known as Serob 6.

The vast majority of Sorkis chose to live beneath the water's surface. Sorkis only accounted for a single percent of the inhabitants of Kells, the floating capital city of their home planet.

These aquatic Sorkis were humanoid in form, possessing webbed hands and feet. Their bodies were translucent, displaying a range of colors from green to blue, allowing their internal organs to be seen.

Extending from the crown of a Sorki's head down to the lower back was an elongated crest. They lacked the physical capacity to articulate Basic. Their inherent mode of communication bore similarities to the communication methods employed by dolphins.

Holding a deep conviction in preserving ecological equilibrium, they placed limitations on tourism and industrial activities during the era of the Galactic Republic to prevent environmental degradation. Regrettably, the Galactic Empire disregarded these limitations, leading the Sorkis to worry about potential harm to their planet's delicate ecosystem.

The Sorkis gained recognition for their distinctive psychiatric healing method known as "mental projection." This method converted a patient's recollections into a virtual reality setting, enabling other individuals to enter and engage with the projected components. This technique carried some risk. A person "injured" or even "killed" within a patient's memory-world could sustain lasting psychological harm in reality. Conversely, interacting with the projection could cause a person's personality to merge with the patient's, potentially leading to amoral, immoral, or even sociopathic tendencies.
