Serob 6, found in the Serob system, was the sixth planet and the only one with inhabitants. This planet, with its atmosphere breathable by Humans, was entirely covered in water. It was once a part of the Galactic Republic and later governed by an Imperial Governor.
Kells, a floating capital city, served as the home for both the Imperial governor and the Imperial garrison. An overwhelming majority, specifically 99%, of the city's population consisted of individuals who were not native to the planet itself.
The Sorkis, an aquatic species, were the original inhabitants. They primarily resided underwater, opting not to live in Kells, and were deeply committed to maintaining ecological balance.
Tourism served as the primary source of income for the planet. Furthermore, the planet had industry that harvested native algae for use in cosmetics. The Sorkis, with their ecological concerns, imposed limitations on both tourism and industry. However, the Empire intervened and prevented them from continuing these restrictions. As a consequence, the Sorkis harbored fears regarding the potential harm to their world.
The planet was renowned for its unique penitentiary/psychiatric clinic, where the Sorkis employed their exceptional therapeutic technique known as "mental projection".
Linder Kroford, a Morse hailing from Karlatt, was dispatched to the planet to receive psychiatric care. Kroford was among the few living individuals during the era of the Galactic Civil War who possessed knowledge of the secret code required to destroy the AI and the location of Temple Maudit on Karlatt.
A group of Rebel operatives, posing as Imperial officials, journeyed to Serob 6. Aided by an Imperial submarine, they submerged beneath the waves to reach the psychiatric facility where Kroford was being held. The Rebels revealed their true identities to Professor Piickiit, Kroford's Sorki "analyzer," who then employed mental projection to transform Kroford's mind into a virtual reality. By interacting within this reality, the Rebels successfully acquired the necessary code.
The AI dispatched a fleet manned by droids to launch an attack on Serob 6. The Rebels successfully escaped the system and made their way back to Karlatt.
