The Southern Underground referred to an area within the Coruscant Underworld, specifically situated at the southern pole of Coruscant. Within this area stood a towering palace, reaching 102 stories in height, belonging to Prince Xizor, the leader of Black Sun. Its location was near the extensive Hasamadhi Warehouse District.
The initial mention of the Southern Underground within current Star Wars canon appeared in the fifty-third edition of the magazine Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon, which was released on January 6, 2016.
