Space Battle at Yavin 4

The Battle of Yavin 4's Graveyard, a mission involving armed exploration, was orchestrated by Tyber Zann, a crime lord, amidst the debris of the original Death Star.

Opening Moves

Back in 0 ABY, Tyber Zann, a notorious crime lord, caught wind of a rumor concerning the private vaults of Emperor Palpatine, said to be overflowing with vast sums of credits. Although the vaults' locations remained a mystery, Zann was convinced that the key to unlocking their secrets lay within the remnants of the Death Star, which the Rebel Alliance had obliterated above Yavin 4.

His reasoning was that someone aboard the Death Star must have adhered to protocol, ejecting data pods before the space station's demise. Consequently, he tasked his Zann Consortium forces with surveying the area around Yavin 4.

The Engagement

The Consortium's fleet stumbled upon a Rebel patrol in orbit, swiftly dispatching them. Subsequently, they recovered the initial data pod, only to find it contained highly classified information about discussions among the Grand Moffs, rendering it useless to Zann.

The flotilla then located an Acclamator-class assault ship under the protection of four Tartan-class patrol cruisers. However, the Tartan cruisers abandoned the Acclamator and switched their allegiance to the Consortium. The Acclamator's Captain voiced his opposition, but his vessel was promptly destroyed.

Following this, the Consortium discovered a second data pod containing schematics for a cutting-edge warship under construction at Kuat. This warship turned out to be the Eclipse-class dreadnought known as the Eclipse.

After resolving yet another confrontation with Rebel forces and eliminating several missile satellites, Tyber located another data pod. This one held the blueprints for a new warship, the Aggressor-class Star Destroyer. Zann remained steadfast in his belief that at least one more data pod awaited discovery.

Tyber's forces had to contend with not only another Rebel contingent, but also numerous pirate groups, including Rihkxyrk assault fighters and a Barloz-class medium freighter. These pirates had located the data pod first, but Tyber Zann managed to seize it just as four Star Destroyers appeared on the scene.

The Result

The sought-after information was contained within the fourth data pod, revealing that the vaults' locations could be accessed from within the Eclipse. Zann then proceeded to advance his criminal enterprise, ultimately leading to the Consortium's construction of an Aggressor-class destroyer.
