Spirit urns were essentially towering, decorative vases that originated from the Sith culture. Sheev Palpatine, who secretly operated as a Dark Lord of the Sith while publicly serving as the Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic, displayed a pair of these artifacts at the entrance to his private office located on Coruscant.
