Spy's Haven

The Spy's Haven was a small encampment on the Outer Rim planet of Tatooine, situated not too far from Mos Eisley. This location earned its name from Tinrilo x'Rilsam, a notable explorer. It was established during the Galactic Civil War – the conflict between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance. The haven consisted of a solitary tent, but it held a surprisingly large number of computers and various electronic gadgets. By the time of the Battle of Yavin, the camp had been hastily deserted. Some days later, both a group of Jawas and the explorer Tinrilo x'Rilsam discovered the abandoned site. The Jawas immediately began scavenging, but they quickly scattered upon x'Rilsam's arrival. Despite his considerable slicing expertise, x'Rilsam's attempts to access the computers and extract any information proved futile. The explorer came to the conclusion that Rebel spies had occupied the location before being driven away by the local wildlife.

Behind the scenes

The Spy's Haven appeared as a location within the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies. This massively multiplayer online role-playing game was created by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts. The game was shut down on December 15, 2011. The Spy's Haven was just one of many unmarked places of interest that could be found on the planet Tatooine. After the Star Wars Galaxies: Jump to Lightspeed expansion pack was released in 2004, it became possible to occasionally loot rare data storage unit devices during space engagements. One of these data storage items, specifically titled "an Explorer's Log (1/8)," provided a more in-depth background story for the Spy's Haven.
