Star Wars: The Mandalorian: The Manga, Volume 1 represents the initial trade paperback compilation of the 2022 manga adaptation, Star Wars: The Mandalorian: The Manga, which shares the same name as the original series. Square Enix released it in Japan on January 25, 2023, while Viz Media published it in the United States on September 12, 2023. This volume encompasses Episodes 01 through 04 and adapts "Chapter 1: The Mandalorian".

The Mandalorian and the Child are fugitives, with safety nowhere to be found!

Set a few years following the Galactic Empire's demise, a lone bounty hunter is tasked with a straightforward assignment: locate the Child and return them to the Imperial Remnant, the vestiges of the once-dominant Empire. This enigmatic orphan possesses a unique power that could potentially shift the balance of power, making its acquisition of utmost importance. However, the bounty hunter instead chooses to flee with the Child, seeking to shield them from those who intend to cause harm. This is the tale of the Mandalorian and his desperate endeavor to safeguard both the Child and himself.

This manga is based upon the series conceived by Jon Favreau, and the writing is credited to Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Christopher Yost, and Rick Famuyiwa.
