Star Wars App

The Star Wars App, a mobile application, is officially distributed by The Walt Disney Company for both Android and iOS operating systems.

Description

This application functions as a gateway to official Star Wars content, providing access to trailers and updates concerning upcoming releases. Users can customize the app's visual theme to represent a droid, the light side, or the dark side of the Force. It also features weather forecasts for fictional Star Wars planets and daily "This Day In Star Wars History" posts. Furthermore, users have the ability to enhance their selfies with Star Wars-themed costumes and backgrounds.

Release history

The iPhone version of the app became available on Apple's App Store on July 8, 2015, and it currently requires iOS 11 or a more recent version.

Force Trainer

Within the app, "Force Trainer" is a mini-game where players must defend against blaster projectiles fired from a training droid. The game utilizes the phone's camera to overlay the training droid onto the player's real-world environment through augmented reality. Players must track the droid's movements with the camera and orient the phone to counter the direction of incoming blaster fire. The game comprises 25 levels, organized into a tutorial and four distinct difficulty settings.
