Arks for Starhunter menageries served as sizable space transports engineered specifically for the purpose of ferrying diverse collections of animal species—or even sentient creatures that were treated in a similar fashion.
The Starhunter Dhelba represents an early example of such a ship; it met its end in a crash on Endor circa 800 BBY, an event that led to the introduction of Teeks, Gupins, and tree goats to the moon. The Starhunter's Intergalactic Menagerie also utilized a similar type of vessel during the initial years of the Galactic Empire.
