A male Human named Starter served the New Republic Defense Fleet as a starfighter pilot. Additionally, he maintained loose ties to the Black Curs smuggler group and piloted a highly modified and personalized T-65B X-wing.
The son of a Galactic Empire admiral and a former student at Corulag Academy, Starter was eventually kicked out for his lack of discipline and generally irritating behavior. Consequently, he opted to join the Rebel Alliance as a starfighter pilot. He demonstrated considerable skill as an X-wing pilot and proved to be a steadfast ally, always ready to assist in any space battle.
Despite his piloting abilities, Starter was best known for his wildly exaggerated stories about his supposed heroic exploits and personal history. Among his claims were that he was raised on Tatooine, was close friends with Luke Skywalker and Biggs Darklighter, and learned to pilot starships from Han Solo. He also asserted that he completed the Kessel Run in under seven parsecs, surpassing Solo's record by a significant five parsecs. Furthermore, he boasted of single-handedly defeating Bossk, IG-88, Boddu Bocck, Beylyssa, Dengar, 4-LOM, Zuckuss, and [Zardra], and even stealing Tydirium and humiliating Darth Vader by trapping him inside his own meditation chamber.
