Statue of Emperor Palpatine

A sculpture depicting Palpatine, the Galactic Emperor, was built and placed at the rear of the Jedi Trials Chamber that was located inside the Jedi Temple situated on Coruscant.

History

During Operation: Knightfall, Darth Vader commanded the 501st Legion to carry out a massacre of the Jedi Order in 19 BBY. This event led to some damage to the Jedi Temple. The Jedi Trials Chamber sustained damage, but remained standing after the assault.

Subsequently, the Galactic Empire commissioned the construction of a large statue within the Trials Chamber, under the orders of the Emperor. This was done to demonstrate the Sith's dominance over the Jedi and to symbolize their victory over the Order.

Destruction

Galen Marek was dispatched by his master, Darth Vader, to the Jedi Temple so that he could further his Sith training. He gained access to the Temple, eliminating the stormtroopers who were guarding it, and proceeded to the Trials Chamber. There, he heard the spectral voice of his father, Kento Marek.

As he entered the room, the old Trials Program started up, and a simulation of the Pau'an Sith Lord, Darth Desolous, emerged from the shadows and confronted the apprentice in a duel. Following a drawn-out lightsaber battle, Starkiller employed The Force to knock down the Emperor's statue, which then fell onto Desolous, killing him.
