The Balawai employed sizable, tracked vehicles known as Steamcrawlers on Haruun Kal, particularly within the jups. These vehicles featured both turrets and substantial headlamps. Their intentionally simple design aimed to improve their resilience against the metal-consuming fungus prevalent on Haruun Kal. They served as the foundational design for the Ground Assault Vehicle.
