Stieg Wa served as a transport pilot in the era of the Old Republic.
He was portrayed as a youthful, audacious, and self-assured individual. Having matured independently, he flourished amidst perilous escapades.
Subsequently, the Jedi reached out to him, and he consented to convey Qui-Gon Jinn and Xanatos to Telos IV. En route, he launched several personal barbs at Xanatos, alluding to his sheltered upbringing within the confines of the Jedi Temple and his supposed ignorance of the harsh realities of existence. Subsequently, while traversing the Landor system, they found themselves surrounded by pirate vessels, who demanded Wa's surrender. Stieg, however, declined and successfully evaded capture, deftly maneuvering to avoid blaster fire.
Following the brief engagement, Wa accused Xanatos of intentionally compromising the ship's cloaking system. While attending to the repair of the device on the ship's dorsal platform, the pirates reappeared. Stieg sustained a blaster wound and was taken prisoner.
Subsequently, Jedi Master Tahl was dispatched to apprehend the pirates responsible for Wa's abduction.
